East Hampton Water Development Task Force
Minutes from Friday Nov. 7, 2008
7 a.m. at the Sewer Plant
Meeting called to order 7:05 a.m.
Present: Bob Heidel, Johnny Hanson, John Tuttle, Ted Hintz, Jeff O’Keefe, Mark Barmasse, Melissa Engel, Vin Susco and Peter Arrestaad.
A motion was made by Mr. Tuttle to approve the submitted minutes. Motion seconded by Mr. Hanson and unanimously approved.
Village Center:
Vinnie presented the group with cups of the new water from the Village Center water system that we all drank and survived. The water quality meets or exceeds testing parameters. Users are calling the WPCA with positive comments.
The #1 well is holding at 15 gpm and well #2 is producing 20 gpm consistently. Vinnie reported that they will refracture well #1 in the spring hoping it might produce more water for distribution. Vinnie also reported that we can expect an increase in power usage as we now have six pumps.
Motion made by Ted and seconded by Bob to enter into executive session at 7:25 a.m. for purpose of discussing potential land acquisition. Came out of executive session at 7:37 a.m.. No action taken.
Jeff O’Keefe presented a draft of a water connection policy. It was discussed, suggestions made and will be revised.
Next meeting is Friday, Nov. 21st at 7 a.m. at the sewer plant.
