Water Development Task Force
MINUTES of Special Meeting June 25, 2008
7:00 a.m. at the Town Garage Meeting Room
Meeting was called to order at 7:03 a.m.
In attendance were: Johnny Hanson, Vinnie Susco, Melissa Engel, Bob Heidel, Mark Barmasse and Bob Drewry. Ted Hintz Jr., Peter Aarrestad and John Tuttle were not there.
Approval of 6/11/08 minutes was tabled.
Land Acquisition - Discussion was held about the hiring of Norman Benedict to appraise the 300 ft. diameter property at St. Clements figuring in the associated water rights of the property. It should take about 4 to 5 weeks to complete. The Task Force by consensus approved recommending the Town Council retain Mr. Benedict’s services and asked Mr. Drewry to go before the Board of Finance to ask for a not-to-exceed appropriation of $9,400 funding for the . Additionally, Mr. Drewry will call Jean D’Aquila regarding the 10.5 acre Greer property which will house the proposed pump station of a future centralized water system.
Construction Update – Mr. Susco reported that the Town Council accepted the bid from Hungerford for the construction project in the Village Center. Work has already begun and Mr. Susco is confident we will keep our schedule.
Motion made by Mr. Barmasse and 2nd by Mr. Hanson to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:35 a.m..
Next meeting will be Wednesday July 23 at 7 a.m. at the Town Garage Meeting Room.
