Water Development Task Force
MINUTES of Special Meeting June 11, 2008
7 a.m. at the Town Garage Meeting Room
Meeting was called to order at 7:03 a.m.
In attendance were: Vinnie Susco, Melissa Engel, John Tuttle, Bob Drewry Ted Hintz Jr, and Mark Barmasse. Absent were Johnny Hanson, Bob Heidel, Peter Aarrestad.
Minutes of 5/158 were approved unanimously. Motion made by Mr.Barmasse, second by Mr. Tuttle.
Regarding land acquisition, the WDTF is waiting for the results of a meeting with the land/water rights appraiser which is not scheduled until June 17th. The orignal meeting had to be cancelled by the appraiser.
The Council will be presented with construction bids at its June 24th meeting. Mr. Susco and the project engineer will both be in attendance. The timeline is still in place and within budget, according to Mr. Susco. The construction crew will be prepared to work around the temporary skateboard park as well as the Old Home Day celebration.
In other business, Mr. Susco reported that the library is no longer on “Notice of Violation” from the state as the water samples tested clean and we have assigned Pam McCann as the water operator for that well. That well site will remain a possible water source for additional Village Center water if needed.
A motion was made by Mr. Hintz and seconded by Mr. Tuttle to adjourn.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 a.m.
