Minutes
Present: Chairperson Susan Weintraub, Council Members Kyle Dostaler, Derek Johnson, Barbara Moore and George Pfaffenbach. Also present were Town Manager Michael Maniscalco, Recording Secretary Cathy Sirois and citizens.
Not Present: Ted Hintz, Jr. and Glenn Suprono
Call to Order
Chairperson Weintraub called the Public Hearing to order at 6:00 p.m. in the East Hampton High School Auditorium.
Public Hearing: Blight Ordinance
Pat Rinaldi, 1 West Street, noted her concern about vacant properties and the notification process for violations. She indicated she lives out of town and would need to be notified by mail.
Cheryl Kissinger, Old Marlborough Road, asked if there is a list of blighted properties that has been compiled and if the ordinance is for residential and businesses. Mr. Maniscalco noted a list is in progress and the ordinance is for both business and residential properties.
A letter was received from Pat Gauthier, 6 Old Marlborough Road, in support of the blight ordinance. The letter will be filed with the minutes.
Mary Ann Dostaler, 56 William Drive, thanked the Council for bringing the blight ordinance forward and is in support of the ordinance.
Adjournment
A motion was made by Mr. Dostaler, seconded by Mr. Johnson, to close the Public Hearing at 6:08 p.m. Voted (5-0).
