Present:
Town Council: Christopher Goff, Scott Minnick, John Tuttle and Susan Weintraub
Conservation-Lake Commission: Peter Zawisza, Alan Petell, Tom Wells, Mike Rose, Patience Anderson, John Jordon, Paul Peszynski and Irene Curtis
Inland Wetlands Watercourses Agency: Jeffry Foran, Josh Wilson and Dean Kavalkovich
Town Staff: Jeffery O’Keefe and Kerry Nielson
Dr. Ken Wagner from AECOM and Chuck Lee from the Department of Environmental Protection
Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance: Council Member Tuttle called the special meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. All stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
Dr. Wagner provided an overview of the report “Use of Lake Loading Response Model (LLRM) in Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Development for Lake Pocotopaug, August 2009. He reviewed the issues and possible solutions.
The group discussed aeration systems, alum treatments, storm water management, watershed solutions, regulations and enforcement.
Adjournment:
A motion was made by Mr. Goff to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 p.m.
