MINUTES OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
OF THE TOWN OF EAST HAMPTON
HELD NOVEMBER 19, 2007
A Special Town Meeting of the electors and citizens qualified to vote in the Town Meetings of the Town of East Hampton, Connecticut, was held at the East Hampton High School, North Maple Street in East Hampton, Connecticut, on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Robert McKinney was chosen as moderator of the meeting and Ms. Sandra Wieleba acted as clerk.
The Clerk read the notice for the meeting which was published in the Glastonbury Citizen (Rivereast) on November 8, 2007, and which is recorded in these records immediately preceding these minutes.
Ms. Margaret Jacobson moved to accept the call of the meeting, seconded by Ms. Isabel Vela. Moderator McKinney called for a vote and the call was accepted.

Item 1.
To appropriate the local match in an amount of $40,000 for the Town’s $200,000 EPA Brownfield’s Grant project for environmental cleanup at 13 Watrous Street as recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Town Council.
Moderator McKinney requested that the resolution prepared for this item be presented.
Finance Director Jeff Jylkka presented the following resolution “RESOLVED that this Town Meeting approves an appropriation for the local match in an amount of $40,000 for the Town’s $200,000 EPA Brownfields Grant project for environmental cleanup at 13 Watrous Street as recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Town Council”. Motion to accept the reading of the resolution by Mr. Dan Wolfram and seconded by Ms. Margaret Jacobson.
Moderator McKinney opened the meeting to discussion and comments.
Hearing none, Moderator McKinney called for a vote on the motion to adopt the resolution as presented. The foregoing resolution was adopted by voice vote.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Town and a motion to adjourn at 7:02 p.m. made Ms. Margaret Jacobson and seconded by Mr. Scott Bristol. Moderator McKinney called for a vote. Vote in the affirmative.
