Unapproved Minutes

1.      Call to Order and Seating of Alternates:  Vice-Chairman Zatorski called the meeting to order at 7:14 p.m.
Present:  Town Council Member Sue Weintraub, Planning and Zoning Vice-Chairman Ray Zatorski, Planning and Zoning Members, James Sennett, Planning and Zoning Alternate Members Michael Brogan, and Richard Gosselin.  The Building, Planning, and Zoning Administrator, James Carey; Town Planner, David Dodes; and Town Attorney, Jean D’Aquila were also present.
2.      Presentation:  The HomeConnecticut Program
James Carey introduced the program for this evening to those in attendance and turned the presentation over to Tim Hollister.
Tim Hollister, Environmental and Land Use Practice Group, Shipman & Goodwin LLP, Hartford, Connecticut distributed handouts for the reference of the Town Officials and further distribution.  He described the HomeConnecticut Law, how it works, and who benefits by it.  Attorney Hollister discussed the benefits that would be seen by East Hampton if it should choose to pursue this program.  *Attachment~1*
David Fink, Partnership for Strong Communities, was present to discuss the HomeConnecticut Program and how it will work for East Hampton.  He discussed the housing demands on the small towns in Connecticut.  *Attachment 2*
The attendants questioned both Messrs. Hollister and Fink regarding this program and its potential benefits for East Hampton.
Mr. Carey thanked Messrs. Hollister and Fink for putting this presentation together.  He also thanked those in attendance for taking the time to come to this presentation.
3.      Adjournment:  The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
