	May 2017 Regular Meeting Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Date: May 2nd, 2017 Time: 4:30pm Parks and Recreation Minutes Present:  Jeremy Hall, Shawn Mullen, Hannah Monohan, Deb Mckinney, Alan Hurst, Sheryl Dougherty, Jessica Rurka, Dick Edmonds Call to Order: Deb Mckinney called the meeting to order.   Approval of the minutes of the April 4th Regular Meeting Sheryl Dougherty motioned to approve the minutes.  Jessica Rurka seconded the motion.  All approved.    Audience of Citizens:  Tyler an eagle scout presented a possible project to build a shed at Sears Park for the East Hampton rowing club to store equipment in.  Jessica Rurka motioned to approve the project.  Dick Edmonds seconded.  All approved.   Communications Raised Bill SB 769 and HB 7048:  Jeremy Hall passed out a copy of the bill and explained to impact that it would have on Parks and Recreation Departments.   Unfinished Business TeenScene Sheryl Dougherty explained this program in detail.  This new teen program will begin in the summer and should be very positive for the town.   Seamster Park Playground Fundraising opportunities/updates May & June Events + New large scale fundraisers Hannah Monohan updated everyone on the status of fundraising for Seamster Park.   Spring/summer Programs Shawn Mullen updated everyone on the status of Parks and Recreation Programs.   Summer Staff update Shawn and Jeremy updated everyone on the summer staff hiring process.    RFP guidelines This will be addressed at the next meeting.   New Business Other Concerns Director’s Report Budget update Jeremy Hall updated everyone on the status of the Parks and Recreation Budget.    Committee Reports Recreational Facility:  Noting at this time.   Adjournment:   Jessica Rurka motioned to adjourn.  Dick Edmonds seconded.  All approved.
