Present:  Jeremy Hall, Shawn Mullen, Alan Hurst, Jessica Rurka, Tim Adams, Dan Roy, Dick Edmonds, Cheryl Dougherty, Hannah Monahan

Call to Order:  Dan Roy called the meeting to order.   

Approval of the minutes of the March 7th Regular Meeting
Jessica Rurka motioned to approve the minutes of the March 7th meeting.  Cheryl Dougherty seconded.  All approved.

Communications:  None

Unfinished Business
  • Seamster Park Playground Fundraising opportunities/updates
We raised approx.. $800 from the bingo night fundraiser.  
  •  April & May Events + New large scale fundraisers
Hannah Monahan gave an update on the status of all of the upcoming fundraising efforts.  New fundraising ideas were discussed as well, including and event to go along with Old Home Day.  
  • Rotary assistance with 501C3
Rotary is on board with assisting with the 501c3 process.  Donations are going to be made out to Rotary’s 501c3 and go into a special account for Seamster Park.  
  • Spring Programs/New ideas
Shawn Mullen gave a report on the status of programs.  Shawn discussed the current spring programs and the outlook for summer.   
  • Vending Machines
There will be vending machines installed at Sears Park this summer instead of operating a concession stand.  The concession stand operates at a loss every season.  


New Business
  • RFP for Food Truck Vendor
Dan Roy motioned to go ahead with an RFP for a food truck to be able to operate at Sears Park during times designated by the Parks and Recreation Department.  Tim Adams seconded the motion.  All approved.

Director’s Report
  • Budget update
Any budget cuts are expected to be discussed on Monday.  
  • Summer Staffing
The hiring season has begun for Summer Staff.  The only positions open are gate attendant positions.  Interviews will start next week.  


 Committee Reports
  • Recreational Facility:  Nothing at this time.
