In attendance:  Jeremy Hall, Shawn Mullen, Rich Norkun, John Wright, Tim Adams, Dick Edmonds and Alan Hurst

Call to Order:  Rich Norkun called the meeting to order at 4:30PM.  

Approval of the minutes of the November 3, 2015 Regular Meeting:  Tim Adams motioned to approve the minutes of the November 3, 2015 meeting.  John Wright seconded the motion.  All approved.  

Audience of Citizens:  None

Communications:  None


Unfinished Business
  • Rowing Club Sears Park use
Jeremy Hall gave an update on the status of the rowing club’s use of the park.  All of the club’s boats have been removed for the winter season and the Parks and Recreation Department is working on a contract for the club for the spring and summer seasons.  

New Business
  • Fall and Winter Program update
Shawn Mullen gave a report on the status of the Fall and Winter Programs.  
  • February skating events at Cranberry Bog
The Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a series of skating events at Cranberry Bog on the first three Sundays in February.  
  • Dog Park
Jeremy Hall is looking to possibly include a dog park adjacent to the new portion of the Air Line Trial that has yet to be constructed.  
  • Airline Trail
This project is currently running behind schedule.  Jeremy Hall is working with the state of Connecticut to get the project on the right track.   
  • Meeting dates
John Wright motioned to keep the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meetings on the first Tuesday of each month, excluding the month of July.  Dick Edmonds seconded the motion.  All approved.  
  
Other Concerns:  Nothing at this time.  

Director’s Report:  Jeremy Hall gave a directors report that was addressed in the New Business section.

Nothing at this time.  

Adjournment:  Dick Edmonds motioned to adjourn the meeting.  John Wright seconded.  All approved.
