Minutes
Present: Rich Norkun, John Wright, Dan Roy, Deb Mckinney, Dan Reilly, Tim Adams, Jaime Krajewski, Shawn Mullen
Call to Order
Rich Norkun called the meeting to order.
Approval of the minutes of the April 7, 2015 Regular Meeting
Deb Mckinney motioned to approve the minutes, Dan Roy seconded. All approved.
Audience of Citizens
None
Communications
Jaime Krajewski distributed copies of the letter to Town Council regarding special revenue fund.
Director’s Report
Jaime Krajewski gave a report on the status of Parks and Recreation operations.
Unfinished Business
The 2015 Summer staff is hired and is in the process of training.
There is still one vacancy on the board that needs to be filled.
Noting at this time.
The beach repairs seems to be limiting the washouts, Jaime is working with Public Works to finish the project.
New Business
- Special Revenue Fund/Council meeting June 9
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board has been asked to attend the Town Council meeting on June 9th to discuss this with them. Dan Roy motioned to put a policy regarding the special revenue fund in writing. Tim Adams seconded the motion. All approved.
Deb Mckinney motioned to put into place a no smoking policy at Sears Park. Dan Roy seconded the motion. All approved.
- Before and After School program
The Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of working with the Board of Education to expand the existing after-school program offerings to possibly include before school care.
