Call To Order
Rich Norkun called the meeting to order
Approval of the minutes of the April 2, 2013 regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
John Wright motioned to accept the minutes of the June, 4, 2013 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Meeting. Deb McKinney seconded the motion. All approved 5-0.

Communications
John Wright motioned to approve the Dombrowski Pavilion and Picnic Shelter rental request for July 13, 2013. Dan Roy seconded the motion. All approved 5-0
Director’s Report
Director Ruth Checko gave her report
Unfinished Business
- Sears Park improvement project – storm water runoff remediation is 99% complete
- Partnership with Senior Center, Commission on Aging, and Parks and Recreation for “Boomer” programming is being worked out for the fall of 2013.
- High School Athletic Field Lighting is being researched by Ruth Checko, at the director of the Town Manager. Ruth is getting estimates on lighting the main soccer field at the high school.
- Capital Projects 2013 – 2014 Fiscal Year has been approved with all seven capital improvement projects
New Business
- Gazebo Dedication and Festival was held Sunday, June 2, 2013. It was very successful
Other Concerns
Tim Adams is interested in a sports court. There are plans to install one in Marlborough, Ruth will look into it.
