Call To Order: Rich Norkun called to order the October 2 Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
Approval of the minutes of the August 7, 2012 regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the September 4, 2012 regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. : John Wright motioned to approve the minutes. Len Heroux seconded the motion. All approved (4-0).

Communications: None
Director’s Report: Shawn Mullen gave a report on the status of Parks and Recreation Programs and passed out the Fall and Winter program brochure to everyone.
Unfinished Business
- Governor William O’Neil Performing Arts Gazebo update
The Gazebo is very near completion. The silt fence surrounding it will be removed in the Spring once the grass starts to take.
- Survey for recreational needs
The recreational needs survey is completed and posted in the Parks and Recreation Fall and Winter Brochure and will be posted online this week as well.
- Gazebo use policies and procedures
There will be an update on this next month. Ruth Plummer and Frank Grzyb need to meet with the architect on the project first.
- Potential properties for parks
Nothing further at this time
- Sears Park improvement project – storm water runoff remediation
Brian Long is working on preliminary plans for the project.
- Open Space at 140 Colchester Ave
Nothing further at this time
