Facilities Implementation Task Force

Town Hall Meeting Room

Minutes

Present:  Judith Golden, Frank Grzyb, Ted Hintz, Jeff O’Keefe, and Mike Vasquenza,

Not Present:  Melissa Engel, John Tuttle, Jeff Jylkka and Sue Weintraub

Call to order:  Mr. Hintz called the meeting to order at 8:09 a.m.

Review Town Hall Plans:  Brian Solywoda and Mike Sorano of Friar Associates were present to review changes to the floor plan of the proposed Town Hall.  Discussion included office adjacencies, the existing and proposed walls and square footage adjustments.  The next step in the plans will be to outline the mechanical, electrical and plumbing needs.  

The High School architectural and design plans are currently being put into the auto cad system.  Ms. Golden asked Friar Associates about the possibility of moving the science and athletic areas and asked them to do a cost comparison.  Friar Associates will have a workshop on February 24th prior to the Board of Education meeting.  

The Center/Memorial School Complex revised layout was reviewed.  The mechanical, electrical and plumbing needs will be reviewed for this complex as well.  

The Task Force will plan a Facilities Meeting in the evening as requested by several residents so more people can attend the meeting.  The date for the evening meeting will be discussed.

Public Comments:  
Kyle Dostaler asked how the proposals will be put to referendum.

Adjournment:  The meeting adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
