Minutes

Present:  Melissa Engel, Judith Golden, Frank Grzyb, Ted Hintz, Jeff Jylkka, Jeff O’Keefe, John Tuttle, Mike Vasquenza, Sue Weintraub

Call to order:  Chairperson Engel called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

Discuss the New Town Hall with Friar Associates:  Mike Sorano of Friar Associates was present to review changes to the floor plan of the proposed Town Hall.  Discussion included office adjacancies, the flow of the main office and janitorial closets.  Friar Associates will revisit the building department offices.  For the next meeting, existing and proposed walls will be shown on the floor plan.  

Review of Proposed Center/Memorial School Complex:  The members discussed the proposed Center/Memorial School complex including the difference in cost between renovating vs. building new and the concern about the building having only one administrator instead of two.  Friar Associates will be doing a presentation for the Board of Education members on Monday, January 26th.  Friar will also be talking with staff at Center School on Wednesday, January 28th to obtain information for the ed specs.  

Public Comments:  
Cynthia Abraham commented that it does not appear there is a written program for the Town Hall building.  She asked if the town is providing the proper information to Friar.

Kyle Dostaler asked if there is enough water at the Memorial School property for another building.

Adjournment:  A motion was made by Mr. Hintz, seconded by Mr. Tuttle, to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 a.m.
