MINUTES: December 15, 2008
1. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Vasquenza at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Library/Media Center.
2. Motion by Ms. Pessoni, seconded by Mr. Hurst, to enter Executive Session in the High School Library/Media Center at 6:37 p.m. to discuss Personnel Matters. Voted unanimously.
Members present: Mr. Vasquenza, Mr. Hurst, Mr. Laraia, Ms. Barmasse, Ms. Wall, Ms. Pessoni and Mr. Gemma and Mr. Coolican (left at 6:49 p.m.)
Members absent: Ms. Robinson
Administration present: Dr. Golden, Superintendent of Schools
3. Motion by Mr. Hurst, seconded by Mr. Laraia, to leave Executive Session at 6:50 p.m. Voted unanimously.
3.1 Mr. Hurst made the motion, seconded by Mr. Laraia, to enter into the employment separation agreement, released and waiver recommended by the Superintendent with the teacher who was the subject of discussion in executive session and the East Hampton Education Association. Voted unanimously.
3.2 Motion by Mr. Hurst, seconded by Mr. Laraia, to ratify and authorize the chairman to execute the tentative agreement reached between the negotiating teams of the Board and the East Hampton School Nurses Municipal Employees Union “Independent” for a collective bargaining agreement in effect from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2012. Voted unanimously.
4. Adjournment
4.1 Motion by Mr. Hurst, seconded by Ms. Wall, to adjourn the meeting at 6:51 p.m. Voted unanimously.
