MINUTES: March 3, 2008
1. The special meeting was called to order by Mr. Vasquenza, Chairperson of the Board, at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Library/Media Center.
1.1 Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
Members present: Mr. Vasquenza, Ms. Robinson, Mr. Hurst, Mr. Coolican, Ms. Barmasse, Ms. Wall, Ms. Pessoni and Mr. Gemma
Administration
present: Dr. Golden, Superintendent of Schools
2. Executive Session
2.1 Motion by Mr. Coolican, seconded by Ms. Barmasse, to enter executive session at 6:31 p.m. to discuss the candidate interview process. Voted unanimously.
2.2 Motion by Ms. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Gemma, to leave executive session at 6:40 p.m. Voted unanimously.
3. Candidate Interviews
3.1 The Board interviewed the following candidates: Kimberly Fontaine, Richard Leone and Mark Laria.
4. Executive Session to discuss the selection of a new member of the Board of Education
4.1 Motion by Ms. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Hurst, to enter executive session at 7:40 p.m. to discuss the selection of a new member of the Board of Education. Voted unanimously.
4.2 Motion by Mr. Hurst, seconded by Ms. Pessoni, to leave executive session at 7:55 p.m. Voted unanimously.
5. Board election to fill vacancy
5.1 Motion by Ms. Barmasse, seconded by Mr. Gemma, to appoint Mark Laria as the new Board of Education member. Voted unanimously.
6. Adjournment
6.1 Motion by Mr. Hurst, seconded by Ms. Robinson, to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 p.m. Voted unanimously.
