MINUTES
Present: Chair Rich Leone, Todd Schrager, Cindy Rooth, Diane Bohmiller.
Absent: Kimberley Fontaine, Jack Solomon
Also Present: Kerry Nielson, Director of Community and Environmental Planning; Jennifer Carducci, Recording Secretary, one member of the public.
1. Call to Order
Chair Leone called this special meeting of the East Hampton Economic Development Commission at 6:38 p.m.
2. Public Comments
Mary Ann Dostaler asked is the Commission was employing Connected to Connecticut and if not, when the relationship had ended. The contract ended 6-30-10.
3. Presentation/Workshop:
a. Mary Dickerson, Economic Development Consultant: “What is Economic Development?” and “Preparing a Strategic Plan”
Chair Leone introduced Mary Dickerson, Economic Development Consultant, Town of Portland as guest speaker.
(Ms. Dickerson’s handout “Economic Development and Strategic Planning Workshop” December 2, 2010 was distributed and has been made part of this record.)
Discussion with Ms. Dickerson surrounded the possibility of utilizing her services on a part time basis in the future.
4. Old Business
a. Holiday Event in Village Center.
Chair Leone asked members for a volunteer to work from 3-4 p.m. to help staff at the Library. He stated there will be a Grand Opening at Mimi Design at 11:30.
5. Public Comments
Mary Ann Dostaler thanked the guest speaker for a wonderful presentation.
6. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn was made at 9:33 p.m.
