UPDATE ON CEMETERIES
Mr. Drewry reported that only two burials have occurred in Skinnerville since November, 2013.  There are still approximately 15 to 20 plots available.  One burial occurred in a pre-purchased plot in Young Street cemetery.

There was a question regarding the Waterhole Road cemetery but that is not a town cemetery.

The flag at Selden Yard cemetery is wrapped around the pole and needs to be corrected.

There are stones that fell out of the stone wall at the Young Street cemetery.  Mr. Brown and Mr. Lanzi will take care of that issue.

A motion was made by Mr. Brown, seconded by Mr. Lanzi, that Dennis Wall be in charge of raising and lowering the flags in the town cemeteries at the appropriate times.  Voted (3-0)

FEE UPDATE
The fee for plots in the town cemeteries is $500. The base fee to dig the graves is $600.  The digging fee goes to the individual that digs the grave.

2015-2016 BUDGET
The Cemetery Board has requested $5,000 in the budget.

The board discussed options to expend the remaining 2014-2015 budget.  Option included removing trees in the Tartia cemetery and surveying the new land adjacent to the Young Street cemetery.

YOUNG STREET CEMETERY EXPANSION ACTION PLAN
The board members further discussed what needs to be done to the Young Street cemetery property to create the new extension of the cemetery.

A motion was made by Mr. Lanzi, seconded by Mr. Wall, to request that Mr. Drewry contact Anchor Engineers regarding a survey of the Young Street property; if they are not the appropriate individuals he would contact other surveyors.  Voted (4-0)

Mr. Drewry will contact Public Works Director Phil Sissick regarding the surveyors and tree removal.

There was a question whether an 824 was needed through the Building Department.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Mr. Brown, seconded by Mr. Wall to adjourn the meeting at 10:40 a.m. Voted (4–0).

Respectfully submitted,
