Meeting Minutes February 17, 2011

7:03pm Meeting Call to Order
Members Present: Elizabeth Sennett, Rachael Mansfield, Carol Lane, Shirley Brooks, Valerie Bozzi, Steven Kelly (HS Liaison), Sue Berescik present in audience.
Members not present: Rich Leone, Monica Kangley, Elizabeth Namen
- Thom Cordeiro, Town Council, welcomed all members of this new commission and provided an overview of the approved ordinance with a handout.
- Each new member gave a brief overview of their experience and what they hoped to accomplish with this new commission.
- Commission determined that without all members present they would like to defer the election of Chair and Vice-Chair until the next meeting.
- Discussed the workload and structure
- Members present agreed that the 3rd Thursday of the Month at 7:00pm in the Town Hall Meeting Room was the most convenient day for the meeting.
Commission discussed a possible website
Commission discussed how to promote events
Commission discussed a public survey of Arts and Cultural events they would be interested in
Commission agreed that they would think of topics to discuss and in lieu of a Chairperson would provide them to Councilman Cordeiro for setting agenda for next meeting.
