SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
for
Wednesday, July 30, 2008
OPENING:
Ernie Teixeira, Chairman, opened this meeting at 7:00 P.M. at the East Windsor Town Hall There were seven commission members in attendance: Ernie Teixeira, Ron Hwalek, Mark Simmons, Warren Wenz, Rick Webster, Jim Barton and George Butenkoff. Also present was First Selectman, Denise Menard.
Absent: Nicholas Macsata, Ken Crouch, Dave Malo, Edward Bonetti, William Abbe Sr., and Fred McDermott.
Ernie Teixeira led the commission in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony Committee - No report
Memorial Day Poster/Essay Contest Committee - No report
Scholarship Committee - No report

Veterans Day Road Race Committee - No report
NEW/OTHER BUSINESS: The scheduled agenda item for this special meeting was introduced by Chairman, Ernie Teixeira.
MOTION: George Butenkoff moved to provide up to $500.00 from our treasury to pay for food and beverage items needed for the ceremony honoring East Windsor’s WW II veterans to be held at the East Windsor High School on Friday, August 22, 2008, at
10 :30 A.M. This was seconded by Warren Wenz and the motion carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
Hearing of no further business to come before the commission Chairman, Ernie Teixeira, asked for a motion to adjourn. Warren Wenz moved to adjourn and this was seconded by Mark Simmons. The motion carried unanimously. Chairman, Ernie Teixeira, closed this meeting at 7:14 P.M.
