Annual Budget Meeting
May 20, 2008
The Annual Budget Meeting of the Town of East Windsor was held at the East Windsor Junior/Senior High School on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. The meeting was called to order by First Selectman, Denise Menard at 7:30 P.M.
Motion was made by Bill Loos and seconded by Ed Filipone that George Butenkoff preside as Moderator.
Motion was made by Bill Loos and seconded by Gil Lowell that nominations for Moderator be closed.
Both motions passed unanimously.

Assistant Town Clerk, Mary Higgins, read the call to the meeting. She further stated that petitions containing the necessary 200 signatures have been verified by the Town Clerk’s office, requesting that the voting for the Town Meeting scheduled for this evening to consider and act upon the FY 2008-2009 budget be accomplished by ballot or voting machine.
Moderator read the statement of eligibility to vote.
The following resolution was introduced and read by Ed Filipone.
Resolved: That the budget for the Town of East Windsor for the fiscal year
2008-2009 in the amount of $32,962,759 as recommended by the Board of Finance be sent to referendum for vote. Said referendum will be set for Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mr. Filipone moved the resolution seconded by Richard Pippin.
No discussion followed, and Moderator called for a voice vote. Moderator declared the resolution adopted by a majority Aye vote.
Motion was made to adjourn by Bill Loos and was seconded by Gil Lowell.
Moderator declared the meeting adjourned by a majority Aye vote at 7:40 P.M.
