TOWN OF EAST WINDSOR
LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF ADJOURNED TOWN MEETING
AND REFERENDUM
Pursuant to Section 7-7 of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut, as amended, notice is hereby given to the electors and taxpayers of the Town of East Windsor who are qualified to vote in Town Meeting that an Adjourned Town Meeting and referendum will be held on June 5, 2007 between the hours of 6:00 A.M and 8:00 P.M. for the purpose of voting on the following:
“Shall the F.Y. 2007-2008 Annual Budget of $30,566,870 proposed by the Board of Finance for the Town of East Windsor be approved? YES NO”
The ballot label at said referendum will be as follows:
“Shall the F.Y. 2007-2008 Annual Budget of $30,566,870 proposed by the Board of Finance for the Town of East Windsor be approved? YES NO”
The voting will be by voting machine. Those desiring to vote in favor of said resolution shall place the pointer on the voting machine at “YES”. Those desiring to vote against said resolution shall place the pointer on the voting machine at “NO”.
The polls will be open during the hours between 6:00 AM. and 8:00 P.M. Electors will cast their votes at the following polling places:
District No. 1 Town Hall Annex
25 School Street
East Windsor
District No. 2 Town Hall
11 Rye Street
Broad Brook
Taxpayers who are not voters will vote at the Town Hall ONLY.
Absentee Ballots will be issued pursuant to CGS Secs. 9-140 and 9-369c.
The voting will take place pursuant to the provisions of the General Statutes of Connecticut, as amended, and the votes will be cast and canvassed and the results determined and certified as nearly as may be, in accordance with the laws governing the election of Town Officials.
The full text of said resolution is on file open to public inspection at the office of the Town Clerk.
