Minutes : Reviewed / accepted.
Unfinished Business
a. Mansions on Scantic – Building activity and development discussed but
no contact as yet.
b. SWRA River Guides – Our Guide is still a work in progress.
c. Canoe trips on Scantic – Still trying but no success due to high waters. Goal to find where mud is originating.
d. Flood (River Review) – Still not accomplished to date.
e. Trail Markers – Status quo.
f. New Members – Letters mailed to potential members. Tom Pikul appears to no
longer be interested in being a member, but Margaret Steinbugler attender and
took an application.
Old Business
a. Walk along the Scantic River. Plan in works to walk from Omelia past Norton Farm.
New Business
a. SRWA – July 29th another moonlight canoe trip is planned. Info re SRWA will be forwarded to membership.
b. Board of Selectmen are talking again to the owners of Hensell property.
c. Ed Farrell has identified another piece of property on Old Plantation Road and is working on writing a federal or state grant.
