Call To Order: 7:00 PM
Minutes of August 17, 2006 meeting: Reviewed, attendance corrected, then accepted.
Welcome to newest member: Janice Warren, who gave her background, listing her other involvement with town projects/boards, and expressed her wish to learn more of the Scantic.
Unfinished Business
Mansions on Scantic: Unknown status at this time.
Mission Statement & Master Plan update: Not discussed, but copy will be provided to new member.
EW River Guide: Work continues.
Canoe Trips on Scantic: Canoe trip was taken by Dick & Kristen in August.
Flood (River Review): Canoe trip identified several new areas of snags and build up of others.
Trail Markers: None placed at this time, but trail is being used.
New Members: Keep asking those you encounter to consider becoming a member.
Old Business
Property on Rye Street near Plantation Road - Town received grant & completed purchase.
New Business
Source to Sea Clean-Up: Scheduled for September 30, flyers and other info sent by member Peter to newspapers and churches.
b. Wicket Bridge Road: Identified and discussed as another possible area of access to
the Scantic River.
