SPECIAL MEETING – FEBRUARY 23, 2008
9:00 A.M. – EAST WINDSOR POLICE DEPARTMENT
CALL TO ORDER AND ATTENDANCE:
The East Windsor Police Commission held a Special meeting on February 23, 2008 at the East Windsor Police Department at 9:00 a.m. for the purpose of interviewing candidates for two positions of Patrol Officer.
Chairman Cliff Nelson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. with the following in attendance: Commissioners Linda Sinsigallo, Lorraine Devanney, D. James Barton and Richard Sherman. Also, in attendance were Captain Roger Hart and East Windsor resident Cathy Pippin.
NEW BUSINESS - a) Light Duty
The Commissioners along with Captain Hart reviewed the proposed Light Duty Department Operational Directive. The main decision during the discussion was to change the wording of “light duty” to “alternate duty”. After general discussion, it was agreed that Captain Hart make a few changes to the proposal and send it along to the Town Attorney for review. After which time, it would be placed on a regular meeting agenda of the Police Commission for re-review .
NEW BUSINESS - B) Candidate Interviews
At 9:30 a.m., Chairman Cliff Nelson started the Interview process. The Commission had eight candidates to interview for two positions of Patrol Officer. At approximately 1:10 p.m. the interview process was completed.
MOTION: Linda Sinsigallo made a motion to offer conditional employment to James Grzegorek and Angelo D’Aleo for the positions of Patrol Office pending successful completion of the remainder of the hiring process. Seconded by D. James Barton. Sinsigallo, Devanney, Barton, Sherman and Nelson voted unanimously to approve – Motion carried.
MOTION: Linda Sinsigallo made a motion to state if any candidate does not accept the position or fails to meet the required standards, the Chief is authorized to move on to the next candidate. Seconded by Richard Sherman. Sinsigallo, Devanney, Barton, Sherman and nelson voted unanimously to approved - Motion carried.

MOTION: Linda Sinsigallo made a motion to adjourn at 1:25 p.m. Seconded by D. James Barton. Sinsigallo, Devanney, Barton, Sherman and Nelson voted unanimously to approved. Motion carried.
