Minutes
Call to order and attendance
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Sherman. Commissioners Barton, Devanney, Simmons and Sinsigallo were present along with Chief DeMarco and Maria Diana-Root, Administrative Assistant to the Chief.
New Business
a) 2006/2007 Budgets
Police Commission
The proposed budget for fiscal year 2006/2007 was presented and reviewed by all commissioners present and all questions answered.
A motion was made by Commissioner Barton, seconded by Commissioner Sinsigallo to approve the proposed budget for the Police Commission which includes a 3% increase for the recording secretary.

Animal Control
The proposed budget for fiscal year 2006/2007 for the East Windsor Animal Control was reviewed by all commissioners present and all questions answered.
A motion was made by Commissioner Devanney, seconded by Commissioner Sinsigallo to approve the proposed 2006/2007 Animal Control budget.

East Windsor Police Department
The proposed budget for fiscal year 2006/2007 for the East Windsor Police Department was reviewed and thoroughly discussed by all commissioners present. There was emphasis on being “fiscally conservative” and a number of the line items were changed to reflect the current atmosphere within the Town of East Windsor.
During the discussion of the proposed 2006/2007 budget under vehicle maintenance, and after a review of the current status of the line vehicles and the necessity of replacing the vehicles that have higher mileage; a motion was made by Commissioner Sinsigallo, seconded by Commissioner Simmons to authorize the Chief to purchase replacement vehicles using the grant and Capitol Improvement monies set aside for that purpose.

The motion was carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Sinsigallo, seconded by Commissioner Simmons to approve the proposed 2006/2007 budget for the East Windsor Police Department.

A motion was made by Commissioner Sinsigallo, seconded by Commissioner Simmons to adjourn the Special Meeting of the East Windsor Police Commission at 9:30 p.m.
