BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2006


TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING

Chairman Ken Crouch called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the East Windsor High School Guidance Conference Room.

ATTENDANCE

Present at the meeting were Committee Members Skip Kement, Jim Thurz, Jim Miller, Peter Sanders, Cliff Nelson, Steve Pilch and Ed Filipone.  Also present Len Norton and Recording Secretary Laurie Slate.

PREVIOUS MINUTES

Upon motion by Ed Filipone, seconded by Peter Sanders, it was unanimously

VOTED:  To approve the minutes of the January 9, 2006 meeting

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Volunteer Park
        
Len Norton reported that it is too wet to get the equipment in to finish cutting the trees.  He will get an updated price to pave the walkways.  Cliff is checking on poles for a light.  The Park and Recreation Department may have an extra pole.


Salt Shed

Len reported that decisions regarding shingles and colors, etc. are being taken care of.  Construction should start in the spring.  The contract has been signed and mailed to the contractor.

Police Department Renovations

Ken Crouch updated the committee on the progress of the renovations.  Dispatch should be fully operational on February 27th.  There are 2 desks for the Dispatch Department.  The carpet installer is trying to schedule the carpet installation and would prefer to do all 4 rooms at one time.

NEW BUSINESS

A.      2006/2007 Budget

Upon motion by Cliff Nelson, seconded by Ed Filipone, it was unanimously

VOTED:  To approve a status quo budget for 2006/2007
