Board of Assessment Appeals
Town of East Windsor
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. at the East Windsor Town Hall, 11 Rye Street, Broad Brook.
ATTENDANCE: James Lenegan, Chairman, Marilyn Butenkoff and Muriel Welles
Also Present: Carol Madore, Assessor
1. Review and approve the Application form for Hearings to be held for potential appeals of the October 1, 2008 Grand List and the Motor Vehicle Supplemental Grand List of October 1, 2007;
The Board discussed the application and it was approve with minor administrative edits.
2. The Board will also set their meeting and hearing schedule for Spring hearings for Taxpayer appeals on the October 1, 2008 Grand List and the Motor Vehicle Supplemental Grand List of October 1, 2007;
The Board will meet to review the applications and set specific hearings on February 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., with a snow date of February 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The Assessor will put the February 20, 2009 deadline on the website as well as posted on her office door. The legal will be posted on January 12, 2009 in the Journal Inquirer.
The hearings will be held on the following dates in 2009: 3/6 starting at 3:00 p.m.; 3/7 starting at 8:30 a.m.; 3/9 starting at 5:30 p.m.; 3/11 starting at 5:30 p.m.; 3/13 starting at 3:00 p.m.; 3/14 starting at 8:30 a.m.; 3/19 starting at 5:30 p.m.; and if necessary, on 3/20 starting at 3:00 p.m.; 3/25 starting at 5:30 p.m.; 3/27 starting at 3:00 p.m. 3/30 starting at 5:30 p.m.; 3/31 starting at 5:30 p.m.
3. Approval of September 18, 2008 minutes.
MOTION: To accept the September 18, 2008 minutes as submitted.

ALL VOTING MEMBERS IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED.
The 2009 regular meeting schedule will be posted with the Town Clerk. It was also decided that the September motor vehicle hearings will be held on September 14 and September 16 at 5:30 p.m.
