CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kehoe called the meeting to order at 7:42 p.m. He announced the exit locations in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes §29-381, after which he led the Town Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. The Chair mentioned that he attended the announcement of UTC’s $500M investment in Connecticut which includes a new 500,000 square foot world headquarters and engineering facilities and a 100,000 square foot addition to the research center.
Director of Inspections & Permits Gregg Grew (7:45 p.m.) presented his proposed budget for fiscal year 2014-2015 and answered questions from the Council.
Chair of the East Hartford Board of Education Jeff Currey (8:26 p.m.), reviewed the Board’s proposed 2014-2015 fiscal year budget with the Town Council.
Superintendent of Schools Nathan Quesnel and school staff (8:26 p.m.) provided an overview of the operations of the East Hartford Board of Education.
