Chair Weinberg called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
April 17, 2012

to approve the minutes of the April 17, 2012 Fees Committee meeting.

NEW BUSINESS
Proposed Lease Amendment: Metro PCS
John Oates, Fire Chief, explained that Metro PCS is looking to increase their square footage in order to store additional equipment. Rich Gentile, Assistant Corporation Counsel, noted that renting the additional square footage would result in an increase of $100 in rental income monthly with an annual 3% escalation. Councillor Aberasturia inquired on the impact this might have on the present operations of Metro PCS – Chief Oates said there would be no impact. Councillor Harmon asked if there would be any health issues or concerns with this lease amendment – Chief Oaks said there would be none.
Councillor Aberasturia asked if the 3% escalation should be specified in the motion. Attorney Gentile indicated that since it is referenced within the lease agreement, it would not be necessary.

seconded by Pat Harmon
to recommend that the Town Council lease an additional 9’X10’
area at Veteran’s Memorial Clubhouse, 100 Sunset Ridge Drive, to
Metro PCS, successor in interest to Youghiogeny Communications,
at a rent of $100 per month – with an annual rent escalation –
pursuant to the terms of the attached amendment No. 1 to the
existing lease. (copy of lease and amendment follows these minutes)
