ADOPTION OF RULES GOVERNING MEETINGS

to adopt Robert’s Rules of Order as the rules that shall govern
parliamentary procedure at all subcommittee meetings, with the exception
that (1) the Chair shall not be required to restate the motion of any
Council member unless requested by another Councillor, or when in the
discretion of the Chair, such restatement is necessary to avoid any
confusion as to the motion; and (2) where such rules are in conflict with
the provisions of the State Statutes, the Town Charter, or Town
Ordinances.

NEW BUSINESS
Health Department: Disposal of Physical Examination Items
Jim Cordier and Mike Walsh explained that the condition of the examining tables is very poor but they may be of
use to the East Hartford Community Health Center.
MOTION By Bob Damaschi
seconded by Rich Kehoe
to recommend that the Town Council, pursuant to Section 10-3 of the East Hartford Code of
Ordinances, approve the donation of the physical examination items to the East Hartford
Community Health Care as listed and attached to a memo from Mayor Marcia Leclerc to Town
Council Chair Rich Kehoe dated February 27, 2012, and if the East Hartford Community Health
Care declines such donation, such items shall be disposed of through auction.
