Councillor Linda Russo made a point of personal privilege to recognize the efforts of the members of the
Strengthen the East Hartford Dike Committee, especially the Chair of that Committee, Ted DiLorenzo. The
focus of this Committee was to inform the citizens of East Hartford of the necessity of voting in favor of the
flood control bond referendum that was on the November 2011 ballot. Councillor Russo believes that these
efforts led to the passing of this referendum.
