CALL TO ORDER

Chair Weinberg called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.


APPROVAL OF MINUTES

July 18, 2011 Fees Committee Meeting

                       seconded by Pat Harmon
                       to approve the minutes of the July 18, 2011 Fees Committee meeting.
                       Motion carried 3/0.


OPPORTUNITY FOR CITIZENS TO SPEAK

None


NEW BUSINESS

Lease for Room 103 at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center
The Connecticut Coalition for Justice in Education Funding (CCJEF) is interested in leasing room 103 at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center.  In addition to the room lease, CCJEF would also like to lease, twice a year, the auditorium at a rate of $300 for 3 hours a day.

MOTION  By Pat Harmon
                seconded by Marc Weinberg
                to recommend that the Town Council approve a one-year lease
                for Room 103, which measures 285 square feet, located at
                the East Hartford Community Cultural Center for the Connecticut
                Coalition for Justice in Education Funding at the rate of $1.96
                per square foot, resulting in an annual rent of $558.60, with no
                charge for utility consumption.  Such lease, if approved by the
                Town Council, to begin on October 19, 2011.
                Motion carried 2/0.   Aberasturia recused himself.
