Revisions to Town Ordinances
No action at this time.
Fence Regulations, Section 302.7 of the ICC Property Maintenance Code
Bonnie Nichols, the Inspections and Permits Director, indicated that they had reviewed the draft and were fine with the proposed language. It was brought up that the language had a double negative in the wording that needed to be changed. In addition, the March 15, 2008 deadline will be before the ordinance is effective if passed by the Council. The Committee agreed to change the March 15, 2008 deadline to April 15, 2008 and to make the language stated in a positive sense. Those changes will become the February 28, 2008 draft.

to send the February 28, 2008 draft of the proposed ordinance concerning
fences to the Town Council for the purposes of setting a public hearing date.

NEW BUSINESS
Service of Alcohol – Riverfront Recapture
The ordinance committee discussed the serving of alcohol by Riverfront Recapture in town parks with the town's Parks and Recreation Director Roger Moss. The committee was concerned that alcohol only be served in connection with an event, with the approval of the Parks and Recreation Director, and provided that adequate state liquor permits and liability insurance were provided. The committee reviewed the February 28, 2008 draft, made numerous changes to that draft, which resulted in the February 29, 2008 draft.

to send the February 29, 2008 draft of the proposed ordinance concerning
the service of alcohol in town parks to the Town Council for the purposes of
setting a public hearing date.
