SEVERELY DISABLED VETERANS' TAX EXEMPTION ORDINANCE

Chair Kehoe called the public hearing to order at 7:20 p.m.
The following is a copy of a legal notice published in the Tuesday, November 13, 2007 edition of the Hartford Courant.

LEGAL NOTICE
Public notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of East Hartford, Connecticut, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on proposed revisions to Chapter 10, Section 10-28 of the Town of East Hartford Code of Ordinances and to add a new subsection (b) to provide severely disabled veterans with a tax exemption.
Any person(s) wishing to express an opinion on this matter may do so at this meeting.

The Chair gave a brief explanation of the qualifying guidelines set forth by the Federal government which would grant a severely disabled veteran a total exemption of property taxes.
No citizens came forth.
There being no further business, the Chair closed the meeting at 7:22 p.m.
