Decisions of the February 28, 2013 Public Hearing
At a public hearing held by the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals in the Town Council Chambers at 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 7:30 p.m., the following applications were heard and acted upon:
Sebastian Alessandra, agent for the store at 1397 (aka 1441 or 1455) Forbes Street, Requests a variance from Sections 302.1 Permitted Uses and 205.1 Nonconforming Uses, to expand a nonconforming convenience store in a residential zone. (Zone R-2)[Approved by a vote of 4-0]
Michael Bonanno, agent for Lot & More, 1375 Silver Lane, is appealing the order of the Assistant Zoning Official, to remove products unrelated to the existing garden center that are being sold there which are in violation of the zoning regulations and irrespective of a denial of a variance to sell such products. (Zone R-2) [Appeal was granted by a vote of 4-1]
