At a public hearing held by the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals in the Town Council Chambers at 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., the following applications were heard and acted upon:
Nate Kirschner, agent for the applicant, 12 Governor Street, Requests a variance from Section 406.4 Yards, to permit a retail building 6.9 ft. from the front property line requiring a variance of 18.25 ft. (Zone B-5) [Approved by a vote of 5-0]   
Leonard Jacobs, agent for the owner, 1622 Main Street, Requests a variance from Section 210.5(a)(1) Signs, to permit a sign in a residential zone of 6.5 sq. ft. requiring a variance of 5 sq. ft. (Zone R-3) [Approved by a vote of 5-0]
Kevin Lazzerin, 12 Shady Lane, Requests a variance from Section 220 Nonconforming Lots, to permit a garage addition with a side yard of 10 ft. requiring a variance of 1.5 ft.  (Zone R-2) [Approved by a vote of 5-0]
