Public Notice is hereby given that the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing in the Town Council Chambers, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., when the following applications will be heard:    
Natalie Sweeney, agent for the owner of 211 Park Avenue, is appealing the letter of the Zoning Enforcement Official, ordering a “House of Worship” to vacate the property for being in violation of Section 404.1 Permitted Uses. (Zone B-3)[Postponed from the June 28, 2012 meeting}

Jose Carranquinna, 128 Arbutus Street, Requests a variance from Section 303.5(b) Yards, to permit a cement deck/porch structure 0.2 ft. from the westerly property line. (Zone R-3)
Greater Hartford Transit District, 148 Roberts Street, Requests a variance from Section 502.1(a) Permitted Uses, to permit an Operations and Maintenance facility for dispatching and fleet maintenance and ancillary services for transit buses. (Zone I-2)
Goodwin College Inc., 399-403 Main Street, 13 Crosby Street and 2 King Court, Requests a variance from Sections 203.2 Buffer Strips, 204 Access through residential zones, 209.1 setback for parking areas and 212.1 Front Yard Requirements, requesting a 10 ft front yard variance, to permit further development of the college. (Zones B-2 and R-4)
