At a public hearing held by the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals in the Town Council Chambers at 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 7:30 p.m., the following applications were heard and acted upon:
Roman Bajonero, 86 Broad Street, Requests a variance from Section 214.2(a) Accessory Structures, to permit the height of a detached garage to be 18 ft. requiring a 3 ft. variance. (Zone R-3)[Denied by a vote of 5-0]
Jerry Waters, 1761 Main Street, Requests a variance from Section 209.1(a) Parking, to permit the expansion of a previously approved front yard parking space to 16 ft. x 18 ft. (Zone R-2)[Approved by a vote of 5-0]
Dorian Famiglietti, agent for the owner, 329 Ellington Road./ 550 & 552 School Street, Requests a variance from Section 209.1(a) Parking, to permit the parking of 14 parking spaces in the Required Front Yard setback. (Zone B-1)[Denied by a vote of 2-3]
Robert Piscitelli, agent for Etta Mobley-Trice, 25 Delmont Road, Requests a variance from Sections 303.3, 303.4, 303.5(b) Lot Size, Area and Yards, and Section 220 Nonconforming Lots, to rectify a long existing mistaken boundary line. (Zone R-3)[Approved by a vote of 5-0]
Elsie Falcon, 23-25 Adams Street, Requests a variance from Section 214.2(c) Accessory Structures, to permit a carport addition to an existing garage 1 ft. from the rear property line requiring a 5 ft. variance. (Zone R-4 )[Denied by a vote of 5-0]
