March 26, 2009 Meeting
Public Notice is hereby given that the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing in the Town Council Chambers, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., when the following applications will be heard:
Marc Hortie, 720 Silver Lane, Requests a variance from Section 2105(c)(1) Signs, to permit 3 square feet of additional wall signage.  (Zone B-1-A)
Dan Russell, agent for Michael Stedman, 1084-1102 Main Street, Requests a variance from Section 212.4 Front Yard Dimensional Requirements to permit a fixed awning, attached to the main building extending over the front yard setback to within 4 inches of the front property line. (Zone B-5)
Vida Kwofie, 717 Burnside Avenue, Requests a variance from Sections 210.5(c)(1) & (3) Signs, to remove an existing non-conforming projecting sign and replace it with a new, slightly smaller projecting sign, requiring a variance of 32 sq. ft. for total signage and a variance of 40 sq. ft. for a projecting sign. (Zone B-1)
Robert DeCrescenzo, agent for Karen Kilty, Nancy Kilty and Elaine M. Dalton Living Trust, 107 Ellington Road, Requests variances from Section 302.3 Lot Sizes and Area and Sections 302.5(a),(b) & (c) Yards, to create a uniquely shaped new lot, surrounded by “Open Space”. (Zone R-2)
The Awning Place Inc., 745 Main Street, Requests a variance from Section 403.4(b) Yards, to permit a fixed awning structure whose corner extends 6 feet into the side setback line. (Zone B-2)
