WORKSHOP SESSION MINUTES
A Workshop Session Meeting of the EAST HARTFORD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION was held in the Inspections and Permits Department Conference Room, Town Hall, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut on October 16, 2007.
The meeting was called to order at 5:04 p.m.

NEW BUSINESS
A. Review of correspondence from Mr. Robert V. Baltramaitis –18, 20-22 Main Street, request for drive-thru regulation clarification
Subcommittee discussed Section 228.2.j of the Zoning Regulations regarding queuing spaces for drive-through stations and its relationship to financial institutions drive-through facilities. It was the consensus of the Subcommittee to interpret Section 228.2.j to be tied to the number of bank teller stations rather than the number of drive-through positions of a financial institution.
B. Review of Zoning block maps
It was the consensus of the Subcommittee to have staff continue to work on converting the Town’s Zoning Maps to GIS Zoning Maps. Staff indicated that they hoped to work toward an application/public hearing during the winter months.

The Subcommittee discussed the prohibition of fabric structures.
