PATRIOTIC COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 19, 2008
A quorum being present, Chairperson Margaret Byrnes called the regular meeting of the Patriotic Commission to order at 7:24 p.m. in the Employee Lounge of the Town Hall, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
PRESENT: Margaret Byrnes, Patricia Begley, Richard Begley, Albert Doak, Charles Clarke, Vincent Parys, Bernard Corona, Linda Russo, Curt Upton.
ABSENT: Paul Barry, Melodi Wilson.
EXCUSED: Elaine Carey
ALSO PRESENT: Robin Parys, Clerk

None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
MOTION: by Commissioner Charles Clarke to approve the regular meeting minutes of October 15, 2008.
Seconded by Commissioner Vincent Parys.
Vote was uncontested and unanimous.
CORRESPONDENCE: Commissioner C. Clarke sent thank you to Commissioner B. Corona and Commissioner V. Parys for their assistance with the placement of the flags at the cemeteries for Veteran’s Day. Commissioner Clarke also sent thank you letters to the media for all volunteers who participated with placement of the flags.
BILLS: None
TREASURER’S REPORT: $14,310.00 all allocated.
OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: Holiday Fest assignments for food pick up and delivery to Fire Station #1 have been made.
Confirmed 1 year reappointments for the following Commissioners: Charles Clarke and Bernard Corona.
Curt Upton declined his reappointment with the Patriotic Commission. We sincerely thank him for his years of dedicated service to the Commission.
Miscellaneous:
MOTION: by Commissioner Clarke to cancel the December Patriotic Commission meeting.
Seconded by Commissioner Corona.
Vote was uncontested and unanimous
ADJOURNMENT:
Commissioner V. Parys made a motion and Seconded by Commissioner B. Corona to adjourn at 8:20 PM. The Commission unanimously agreed to adjourn.
