MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING

PRESENT: Rose Tavtigian, Mary Mourey, Florence Schroeter, Debra Arrieta, and Charles Casella, Sally Pelletier, Todney Harris, Gloria Visgilio-Lupi
ABSENCES: Anthony Foran
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the April 15th, 2013 meeting were approved.
LIBRARIAN’S REPORT
- Interviews for the three vacant library positions have concluded. The Mayor expects that offers will be made soon.
CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
- The Chairman updated the Commission on the progress of the library addition.
- Owners Representative has been selected
- 40 Central Avenue moving toward demolition
- Roof/HVAC bonding awaiting placement on Bond commission Agenda
- Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Grant will be considered by Board on July 18, 2013
- Bookmobile Utilization Plan – to be determined
- Final design approval - pending

NEW BUSINESS
It was noted that the flower boxes at the Central Avenue entrance have not been planted this year. The Chairman will inquire.
