MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
Monday, May 17th, 2010 @ 7:00pm
Raymond Library, 840 Main St E Hartford, CT 06108
PRESENT: Debra Arrieta, Florence Schroeter, Rose Tavtigian, Charlie Casella, Tony Foran, Gloria Visgilio-Lupi, Vicki Brinius, Pat Jones, Librarian and Tom Rup.
Three guests attended.
EXCUSED ABSENCES: Lisa McMahon
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:03pm
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the April 19th, 2010 meeting were approved as submitted (one abstention due to absence)
LIBRARY EXPANSION/LIBRARIAN’S REPORT
--Mayor Currey will host a meeting with the Raymond Library Company and the Library Commission on June 3rd at 2pm in the Mayor’s Office. All commission members are invited.
--We suggested inviting the architects to give a project overview.
--The commission discussed library history, current finances, fund-raising status & possibilities and a comparison of our library with surrounding towns.
