MINUTES FOR THE
PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA
INLAND WETLANDS - ENVIRONMENT COMMISSION OF
THE TOWN OF EAST HARTFORD

The Public Hearing was called to order at 7:10 PM in the Town Hall Council Chambers, East Hartford Town Hall.

A)  File # 2008-009
          Application of David A. Caron to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands and buffer zone in conjunction with the construction of an industrial building located at No. 53 Alna Lane, (Assessor’s Map 39, Lot 148). Other activities on the site include the installation of utilities, construction of a parking lot and associated grading.

The Commission received a letter from Mr. Caron requesting that his application
be postponed to the next Public Hearing meeting, 9.23.08.

Cmsr. Dowden moved to POSTPONE the application to the next Public Hearing
meeting, 9.23.08.
Cmsr. McMahan seconded
All in Favor, None Opposed, No Abstentions

B) File # 2008-010
           Application of Pacesetter Construction Corporation to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the construction of an industrial building and parking lot located at No. 411 Burnham Street. Other activities on the site include the installation of a storm drainage system and associated grading.
   
The Commission received a letter requesting that this application be postponed to the next Public Hearing meeting, 9.23.08.

Cmsr. Carr moved to POSTPONE the application to the next Public Hearing
meeting, 9.23.08.

A) File # 2008-004
          Application of Enterprise Rent A Car, C/O John J. Sayadoff, Agent, to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the construction of a new parking lot attached to an existing parking lot located at 411 Connecticut Boulevard. Other modifications to the site include the installation of a storm drainage system and associated grading.

          Application of Kevin Townsend to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the construction of a new single family house located on a vacant parcel of land at No. 29 Bellew Road (Assessor’s map 36, lot 162). Other modifications to the site include the installation of utilities, driveway, and associated grading.

The Commission deemed this application not to be a significant activity.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:
The Engineering Department requested a special meeting scheduled for January 7, 2009 for the Road Improvement Project.

There were six agent approvals and four of them were pertaining to residential properties.
