MINUTES FOR THE
PUBLIC HEARING
INLAND WETLANDS - ENVIRONMENT COMMISSION OF
THE TOWN OF EAST HARTFORD

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

The Public Hearing was called to order at 7:03 PM in the Town Hall Council Chambers, East Hartford Town Hall.


  • File # 2008-017
Application of Rocamora Acquisitions, LLC to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the development of a eighteen-lot residential subdivision located at No. 285 Long Hill Street (Assessors map No.61, lot 3.)

Jim Cassidy represented Rocamora developments and he gave a detailed explanation of the project.  Then George Login spoke on behalf of the wetlands contained in this project.

He was concerned about the water drainage in this area

He was concerned about the water drainage reaching his basement and he also wanted as much wildlife to be spared as possible.

The Public Hearing was closed at 7:55 PM.

The meeting was called to order at 8:04 PM in the Town Hall Council Chambers, East
Hartford Town Hall.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Cmsr. Carr moved to APPROVE the minutes of the November 25, 2008 regular
meeting.

OLD BUSINESS

A)  File # 2008-017
           Application of  Rocamora Acquisitions, LLC to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the development of a eighteen-lot residential subdivision located at No. 285 Long Hill Street (Assessors map No. 61, lot 3.)

Cmsr. Carr moved to REMOVE the application from the table

Cmsr.Carr moved to APPROVE the application with the following conditions:

  • The permit is non-transferable without the written consent of the Inland Wetlands Commission.
2.   Proper erosion controls are to be maintained at all times.
3.  All work in the Inland Wetlands and/or buffer zone must be commenced within five (5) years from the effective date. The activity must be completed within one (1) year from the commencement of the activity.
4.  Written notice shall be submitted to the Town Engineer (48) hours prior to the starting date of the approved activity.
  • In evaluating this application, the Inland Wetlands Commission has relied on information provided by the applicant, and if such information subsequently proves to be false, deceptive, incomplete and/or inaccurate, this permit shall be modified, suspended, or revoked.
  • Approval is granted as per plans submitted with the application dated 11-7-08 revised   to 1-12-09
  • Final plans are to be signed and stamped, (ink and impression), by the Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor and Soil Scientist.

A)  File # 2009-001
           Application of Anthony and Deidre Aufiero to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the clear cutting of trees and brush, regrading of the site and planting of grass located at No. 95 Rene Court.

The Commission deemed this application not to be a significant activity.

           Application of Marianne and Juan Marimon to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the removal of a storage building, clearing of trees and brush and regrading of the site located at No. 183 Maple Street.

           Application of Premier Building & Development Inc. and Jetmore Construction, LLC to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the development of a five-lot residential subdivision located at the intersection of King Street and Burnham Street (Assessors map No. 28, lots 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97 and 167.)
