INLAND WETLANDS - ENVIRONMENT COMMISSION OF
THE TOWN OF EAST HARTFORD

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

1) Call To Order: Scheduled for 7:30 PM in the Town Hall Council Chambers, East   Hartford Town Hall.
2) Approval of the Minutes: October 10, 2007 special meeting,
                                             October 23, 2007 public hearing and the
                                             October 23, 2007 meeting
                                                                                                                                            
3) Old Business:
 
A)       File # 2007-018
    Application of Riverone, LLC to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with various construction activities located at No. 125 Riverside Drive.  Proposed construction activities on the site include:
·       demolition and reconstruction of an existing stage
·       regrading of that portion of the site for the placement and anchoring of dock sections
·       construction of a concrete slab and the installation of a new cooler
·       installation of a new sanitary sewer pump, holding tank and associated piping
   
 B)  File # 2007-025
      Application of Jerrold Lipman/Lipman Farm to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands and buffer zone in conjunction with the clear cutting of trees and brush located at No. 59-61 Leverich Drive (Assessor’s map 49, lot 157). Other activities include the grinding of stumps, chipping piles of brush and cultivating the site for the purpose of farming activities.  






    C)  File # 2007-029
Application of 26 Cedar Street, LLC, Peter D’Addeo, to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with demolition of three existing buildings and the construction of a new building located at No 18 and No 20-22 Main Street.  Other modifications to the site include the construction of a parking lot, installation of utilities, storm drainage system and associated grading.

D)  File # 2007-030
Application of Goodwin College to ask for a modification to a previously approved application (File # 2006-011) to conduct a regulated activity within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the construction of a college campus located at No. 211 Riverside Drive. Proposed modifications include the placement of crushed stone along the river bank, construction of retaining walls, steps, placement of fill material and regarding of the site.


4)  New Business:

   A)  File # 2007-031
Application of the Town of East Hartford to conduct  regulated activities within the Inland Wetlands buffer zone in conjunction with the “2008 Roadway Improvement Project”  for the pavement rehabilitation of the following streets:
1)      Hills Street – beginning at a point 75 feet  westerly of Greenwood Street and then running easterly 600 feet
2)      Risley Street – beginning at House No. 51 and running easterly 1000 feet to House No. 132.
3)      Scotland Road – beginning at Goodwin Lane and running southerly 1100 feet to Hudson Street.

         Modifications to the roadways include removal or milling of the pavement, resetting of utility structures, paving and replacement of curbing, guide rails, sidewalks and driveway aprons



5)  Miscellaneous Items:

           Inland Wetlands Commissioners are asked to please notify the Chairman and/or the designated agent whether or not they will be able to attend the meeting.   
           
            Applicants for the following sites are urged to attend the meeting or have representation at the meeting to present the application and answer any questions the Inland Wetlands Commission may ask.
