TOWN OF EAST BRIDGEWATER

TAX HEARING - The Board of Selectmen and Board of Assessors will hold a public hearing on property tax classifications on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 6:40 p.m. in the first floor conference room at the Town Hall.

This hearing, which is required by law, determines whether the Town will have one classification or will differentiate among several classes when setting the tax rate.

ACTION ITEMS


1. Board will vote to approve/disapprove the minutes of the September 8, 2014 Board of Selectmen meeting.

2. Board will vote to approve/disapprove the request of Jon E. Tripp Sr. to be appointed to the Patriotic Activities Committee effective immediately through June 30, 2017.

3. Board will vote to approve/disapprove the request of David Cronin to be appointed to the East Bridgewater Arts Council effective immediately through June 30, 2017.

4. Board will vote to approve/disapprove the request of the Fire Chief to support and sign a Community Innovation Challenge Grant application for the purchase of Lucas Devices, which allow EMTs and/or Paramedics to perform other lifesaving procedures while chest compressions are being performed.

5. Board will vote to approve/disapprove the renaming of a Class II License from John E. Power and James E. Power dba Powers Auto Service to James E. Power dba Power Automotive Inc.  

6. Board will vote to approve/disapprove the request of Diane Phillips of the Friends of East Bridgewater Rail Trails for use of the lawn at the Center at Sachem Rock Farm for a Pumpkin Walk.

7. Board will vote to approve/disapprove the request of the Town Clerk to instruct the dog officer to issue non-criminal violations to dog owners who have not licensed their dogs.
