Selectmen's Minutes 1/30/07
The weekly meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Tuesday evening, January 30, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.

Appointment

 
John Haines, DPW Director and Fire Chief Pratt were present to discuss water rate increases, water projects, Water Department deficit, fire flow and water pressure.  Mr. Haines gave an overview of the needs of the Town for a water filtration plant and the severity of the problems with the old pipes.  Chief Pratt expressed his concerns with the water pressure and fire flow the town is experiencing.
 

Action Items

 
M/McNulty, s/Walsh, a unanimous vote, approve the minutes of the January 23, 2007 meeting with a minor correction.
 
M/NcNulty, s/Walsh, a unanimous vote, approve the request of Maureen Vardaro of Boy Scout Troop 29 for use of the town Hall parking lot on Saturday, February 10, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a Bottle Drive. 
 
M/McNulty, s/Walsh, a unanimous vote, the Board discussed holding a meeting in the second floor conference room at town hall and decided to hold it at the High School Library, approved the change of the Open Public Meeting to discuss the Capital Project Stabilization Fund from Monday, February 5, 2007 to Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. with the Board of Selectmen meeting at 7:00 p.m. and the Public Meeting commencing at 7:30 p.m.

Last day to register to vote to be eligible to attend February 26, 2007 Special Town Meeting is February 16, 2007.
